Project Manager

  • Coodrinate and alayze detailed estimates - conceptual, schedmatic, design development and construction documents
  • Provide direction to the assigned estimating team to assemble the estimate (including general and special conditions) and assure the estimates are accurate, complete and address the actual requirements of the project
  • Create nd analyze cost models/forecasts during the design development and/or bidding period, consult and advise on findings with the client and construction team
  • Prepare bid packages for all scopes of work, obtain and assess bids from subcontractors and equiment/materials vendors
  • Assure the potential risk factors have been indentified, evaluated and reviewed with senior management
  • Proactively identify and solve design/construction issues to maximize risk and enhance profitability projections
  • Coordinate the assembly of pre construction material for presentation purposes to the owner and engineer - design development estimates, GMP booklets, etc. 
  • Lead the preparation and review of trade contracts, subcontractors and major purchase orders, checking for compliance with construction documents and the estimate
  • Create / manage detailed pre construction schedules
  • Coordinate the project's transition from preconstruction to field operations, verify the status of estimates versus actual project status, view work in place for experience and comparison to the estimate
  • Keep abstract of changes and trends in construction costs, methods, materials, equiment technology, wage rates and working rules
  • Identify and qualify new equipment/material suppliers and subcontractors
  • Maintain liaison with clients, prospects, and the A/E communicaty to facilitate successful preconstruction process and to generate new business opportunities
  • Represent company at all times with professionalism and a commitment o quality
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations to include health, safety, and welfare as appropriate
  • Develop internal and project team division of responsibilities
  • Maintain accountability for all pre construction deliverables
  • Regular and reliable attendance at work
  • Other duties as assgined by company management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or other related field
  • 2 - 3 years of work experience
  • Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills
  • Logical thinking with creative problem-solving ability
  • Great attention to detail
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Understanding of budget control
  • The ability to work well with other and lead a team
  • A good understanding of business
  • Technical skills relevant to the project
