Opening its 10th year anniversary celebration, KMC once again proved that real, long lasting success lies in the professional growth and development of its talented team. Recently, the World HRD Congress recognized the Philippines leading real estate consultancy firm as one of the Best Employers in the country.

Human Resources Manager, Karen Lou Lagac received the award for “Innovation in Career Development” in the event held last June 7, 2019, at Dusit Thani Manila. Lagac represented the rest of KMC’s executive committee in upholding the importance of investing heavily in honing the career and skills of its talented real estate professionals.

Known as a rather competitive industry, KMC is keen on keeping its employees as competitive as possible. “We are the only real estate firm that hires based on culture” Lagac explains after receiving the award. “Time and again, KMC puts a lot of premium in the people we place inside the company as they are our greatest asset.”

Lagac also shared that the leaders of KMC themselves are the perfect example. Managing Director Michael McCullough led his top executives and managers in attending the Harvard Leadership Training this year.

Moreover, Executive Director for Tenant Representation Cha Carbonell has been actively encouraging the brokers to get a Masters of Corporate Real Estate (MCR.w) specializing in Workplace Strategy to further their professional growth in the industry.

Carbonell herself has been an employee of KMC Savills for ten years and has, at a very young age, rose to the ranks to achieve director level based upon her own merit and the company's willingness to ensure the correct people grow with the company.

“We, along with Rita Kash and Gerold Fernando, were the first 3 out of the 4 in the Philippines who completed the MCR.w designation,” Carbonell shared. “We are really thankful to CoreNet Global for giving us such a great opportunity.”

The Landlord and Property Management team have also been actively securing LEED or BERDE certification to better the services they provide to their clients.

“The majority of our brokers are specializing in different aspects of the industry to improve our services,” she added with pride. “CoreNet Global, USGBC, PHILGBC, and Harvard have all been a reliable partner in giving our real estate professionals the competitive edge here in the Philippines.”

KMC adds this recent recognition to the company’s greatest milestones as they celebrate a decade in the industry. Founded by proptech entrepreneurs, Gregory Kittelson, Michael McCullough, and lawyer, Amanda Rufino Carpo, KMC is now a full-service real estate firm with over 200 employees involved in tenant representation, landlord representation, investments, and residential services.
