SMDC functions as the real estate division of the SM Group of Companies. In 2010, its revenues were in the billions. At present, SMDC continues to innovate and push the envelope when it comes to the Philippines' building and construction industry.
- Sta. Lucia Realty & Development. Touting itself as the country's leading horizontal developer, some of Sta. Lucia Realty & Development's latest projects include Acropolis Iloilo, Acropolis North, Acropolis Mandaluyong, Alta Monte Davao, and Alta Vista Cebu. If combined lot area is the measuring stick of a real estate company's scope, Sta. Lucia Realty & Development leads the way in the Philippines. They currently have more than 200 residential estates, 11 country club houses, 12 golf courses, and one grand mall.
