In response to the rising demand for BPO office space, Starmalls Inc. (formerly Polar Property) expands with Polar One EDSA, a mixed-use development that offers retail and commercial units. Developed by Manuela, the project will be comparable to the developer's other project, the Worldwide Corporate Center in Mandaluyong City, which has been accredited by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) as an IT building and currently houses some of the major BPO players in the country, including Sykes and Stream Global.

Ideal BPO location

Located in Shaw Blvd., cor. EDSA, Polar One EDSA will have a 1,200-1,300 sq. m. floor plate, as well as retail and commercial units to support 24/7 operations. Its lower ground level will serves as centers for recruitment. A Class B property, the building will most likely require lower rental rates compared to traditional CBD rental rates, making it attractive to several startups and multinationals looking to cut operational costs.

Aside from this, its proximity to EDSA makes it an ideal office space for BPO locators who wish to target and attract a massive labor pool. It is close to several residential options as well as within walking distance to MRT, bus stations, as well as major entertainment centers in Metro Manila. It is also a few minutes ride away from top central business districts Ortigas and Bonifacio Global City.

Starmalls Inc., owned by the family of Sen. Manny Villar, is hoping to strengthen its position in the retail and office industry with their latest expansion. The company is the new Polar Property, who recently changed its name to consolidate the Villar's family retail and office building assets in one basket.
