Top 10 Philippine Real Estate Developers (1 of 3)

Recently, BCI Asia put out its list of the Top 10 Developers Awards 2012. This list recognizes residential and commercial developers in the Philippines that have had an outstanding impact on the country's built environment. Below is an overview of some of these developers that have changed the landscape of the regional building and construction industry in the Philippines. Without further ado, here are the first three developers:

1. Ayala Land, Inc. Some of the most well known developments of Ayala Land, Inc. include Ayala Life FGU Center, UP AyalaLand Technohub, Bonifacio High Street, Makati Stock Exchange, and Ayala Tower One. Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI) functions as Ayala Corporation's real estate division. It was established in 1988. Some of Ayala Land, Inc.'s core businesses include corporate businesses, land bank management, hotels, shopping centers, and residential development. Ayala Land, Inc. also has dealings in construction and property management. In April 2012, it was announced that Ayala Land, Inc. and Metro Pacific Investments Corporation had allied towards building railways in the Philippines.
2. Century Properties. Some of Century Properties' most popular developments are: The Residences at Commonwealth, Essensa East Forbes, Bel-Air Soho, Soho Central, and South of Market. As one of the foremost real estate developers in the Philippines, Century Properties places a premium on mixed-use developments as well as high-rise and mid-rise residential condominiums. Century Properties was founded by Jose E.B. Antonio in 1986. From humble beginnings and a staff composed of six people, over 3,000 individuals are currently employed by Century Properties. Its real estate services include property development, sales and marketing, and property management. The latest project of Century Properties is Century City in Makati.
3. DMCI Homes, Inc. DMCI Homes, Inc. functions as DMCI Holdings, Inc.'s real estate division. DMCI Homes was established in 1995. It currently has around 1,400 employees. In 2010, Business World ranked DMCI Homes, Inc. #176 in its list of Top 1000 Corporations. Some of DMCI Homes, Inc.'s prominent developments are Arista Place, Verawoor Residences, One Castilla Towers, and Cypress Towers. While DMCI Homes, Inc. is not as familiar to many as Ayala Land, Inc. or Century Properties, they are slowly but surely making their mark in the building and construction industry in the Philippines.
